I love the expressions on their faces (and the grass hanging out of the ones mouth :) ) I hope to be able to capture some bear photos soon. I would think there may be cubs around due to the size of the sows teets?

Love the composition and color. The focus is dead on. What a treat to see this.

They look adorable put together!! Wouldn't be nearly as cute with him in front; he looks less threatening behind her. Something about the angles of their poses just makes me smile when I look at this :-)

I love the bear in the background and that first one has such a great expression on her face.

Excellent ellamay - glad to hear that you are a responsible photographer ... many aren't and have given wild life photographers a bad name ... I know of one nest that had golden eagles in it and some people set up light triggers to get some night shots when the parent was returning with it's kill ... the light scared the parent so badly that it stayed away a long time, leaving the chicks to grow cold - not a story I witnessed but one told to me by a person involved in research and rescue of (what were once) endangered peregrines.. Your bear shots are great ... I live in California and I don't know of any place to go to photograph them ... maybe someone from my area could pass on some info ... I am 90 miles south of San Fran.
