 I know the perspective sucks, but i'll try to go back there and find a place where i can get a better angle.

I think the perspective and angle are just fine. Maybe even go after a slight angle or tilt. If you do return, maybe pick a time when you have side lighting or better overcast conditions (the right side is a little washed out). This might look good in black and white also.
