 Can you guess what it is?
Answer: A bench that is lit from below.

Experimenting with my new telemacro lens, used a book as a makeshift tripod beneath the bench, so that it would point upwards slightly. I'm still learning how to effectively use my very first digital SLR. :)

Thanks for the feedback, it was a bit of a toss up between a couple of shots, I submitted this one coz I thought it had a more interesting DoF and the shot was straighter. Ah well. :)

This shot clearly meets the challenge description, but i think it is missing a main component - a place for the viewer to focus, a subject to draw the eye. The lines in focus are placed in a static location (centered) and the focus on those lines is not as crisp as it could be.
