 This is a basic shot of me. Haven't really ever done a self portrait and I don't have a tripod and I've got some makeshift lighting but I think it turned out alright. This isn't gonna win any ribbons but I like it. It was cropped and softened a bit in Adobe Camera Raw. I typically like sharper contrasts and clarity so this is a little different from my usual.

You asked for your shot to have a comment from a member of the Critique Club.

you have excellent focus here for not having a tripod, your ISO is high, but there is a lack of grain , so you controlled what lighting you did have fairly well. The shot is slightly flat right now though, in post processing adjusting your exposure, brightness and contrast would have given this a boost.

i think more contrast and b/w would have made this image pop...it is a little bit plain as it is now...
