Challenge: Rule of Thirds IV (Basic Editing)
Camera: Nikon D40
Lens: Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 ED
Location: Virginia Tech, USA
Date: Aug 21, 2009
Aperture: F/5.6
ISO: 800
Shutter: 1/5 sec
Galleries: Candid, Blur
Date Uploaded: Aug 24, 2009

Taken at the Virginia Tech horticulture gardens at around 7pm. I used a tripod and a shutter speed to allow for slight motion blur, but not too much. She was more or less just goofing off and I happened to snap this one, which I really like.

Hi from the Critique Club,

You asked for your shot to have a comment from a member of the Critique Club.

Your shot is interesting. Not really sure what you where going for within the rule of thirds or with the blurry face motion.

you have a lovely background which is in focus, sharp and full of interesting details. As for the girl, not the most flattering pose.

There is nothing in ps that I can see that would improve your photo.

I'm sorry, I don't believe the blur works here, and the pose isn't the most flattering choice for this model.

Found her face being blurry to be distracting. Probably some art thing that I don't understand. )
