Location: Edinburgh, Scotland, UK
Date: Jun 5, 2004
Aperture: f8.2
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/800
Galleries: Macro, Floral

Largest aperture possible and 'sports' mode for short exposure.
Used flash but put finger half over bulb to try to stop flower from being totally blasted (only moderately successful) while freezing bee.
This is shot 50+!! Neighbours/family think I'm nuts for sticking camera up flowers.
Cropping/brightness/contrast/USM/neatimage

I felt impressed. Maybe it is a pitty the overexposured flowers?

This looks overexposed, your bee is out of focus - more than likely because action and deep dof don't really go hand in hand.

Out of focus, and It looks like you used flash and you probably cshould have darkened that a little because its to bright and unevenly lit

Nice idea, but the flash is too much

Nice. I would have rated it higher except for the hot spots on the flowers.

I love the perspective and the "Jack and the Beanstalk" feel of this image, but the overexposure on the lower parts of the plat are very distracting for me. Your creativity and originality here is an 8+, but the final product fell a bit short to me.

What a cool POV! I think the flash may have harmed this photo though- the foxgloves are very washed out at the bottom.
