I cannot recommend the Changing of the Guard ceremony unless you go WAY WAY WAY freakin' early, or go with a guided group. Otherwise you get stuck behind tons of much taller and hard-elbowed people and end up holding your P&S over your head and hoping to get a shot. Here, in its entirety, is my collection of shots I though were worth keeping from the event. Just this one. Snapshot.

(Oh, found a couple more on the other camera's card. But this one is still the best.)

And it was freakishly hot.

ROFL heck I do that when I'm not having to shoot over other people! I actually kind of like this one.

Cool shot! You got to the bottom of this event. It's a good snapshot. : )
I was impressed that some of the guards are so young when I was there in 1999. It was hot, sunny, and crowded then too, but a good show. Lucky me, I am over 6 ft tall and could see over most of the people around me.

Hot? In England? Unless there has been a major climate change since I lived there, "freakishly hot" is 85 degrees. It does look like a nice sunny day, so that's a rarity right there!

Now that is a shot truly worthy of the thread title! Still, the legs are all in focus....
