 We were out shooting some senior portraits when she suggested we try the playground. The sun was low in the sky and we had about 20 minutes of soft warm light.
- Canon 10D with 85mm f/1.8 lens.
- Sharpened eyes slighly.
- Softened skin slightly.
- Converted to black and white for a more classic look.

No fill flash on this one. It was early evening and the sun was low in the sky giving us some great light to work with. The Canon 85mm f/1.8 lens really helps here because the shallow depth of field gives the subject a nice pop from the background.

I really like this portrait - the lighting is absolutely beautiful, along with the subject! Have you used a fill flash at all? I'd be interested to know.
