Taken with my phone, through a window!! I'm having some very overgrown conifers chopped down from my garden at the moment .... not something I could do!! Glad I'm at work as the combination of the chainsaw and the chipper is pretty loud!!
The trees block the sun in the garden from about 2pm until about 5pm!
eta. Not sure what is going to go there, maybe bamboo. The trees were overgrown 9 years ago when I moved in but they are dead on anything other than the outer layer so very difficult to trim back which is why they are being dropped.

I don't envy that fellow (feller) his job! He looks pretty relaxed though. Those are very big trees, so their demise is obviously going to make all sorts of differences. Enjoy your new views and, depending on directions, more sunshine.

Looks like a fun place to chop down a tree. Hope they don't take out the neighbors house.

I work nights and was given the joy of listening to my neighbor spending all day screwing around with his chainsaw while I was trying to sleep today!
Having done some tree pruning in my day, it's actually kinda fun to do, but you definitely need to have the stomach for it because it doesn't get any better.
What are you putting in the tree's place?
