 there I was, in the wrong line as usual. The unlucky doofus in front of me had the irrational compulsion to buy this very ugly grey T-Shirt but it had no price tag so of course that required the attention of a supervisor...blah blah blah. While I waited, I danced to the music in my earbuds & propped my iPhone on the handle of my buggy (it's called a buggy in Alabama) & started up some covert snapshooting. When I got them in the computer, I saw I had one totally oof shot & one sharp shot of the same basic scene. Oooh, something I've always wanted to do is layer 2 shots like this, not for HDR but for motion. Does this count as "editing the crap out of it?" Haha. The result is everything I was hoping it would be, combining the energy of the oof with the storytelling detail of the sharp shot to create something neither one could do alone--the total lack of any brain activity caused by standing for too long in a line at a big box store. BW ver included for those who care--all comments welcome.

lol this is like a photo taken by someone who is a shopaholic and now has the shakes because they are about to make a purchase hehehe

What a fun idea to overlay the two! You should post both originals in here for comparison.

The blur conveys a frenzied pace of shopping that is in contrast with the boredom of standing in line.....very cool.

Heh! It has that "if I have to stand in line any longer I'm going to fall down...." kinda feel to it, with the lights beginning to go all hazy....

I like the motion blur but yet you can still see the sharp parts. Nice job layering them.
