It seems like the bud in the center should be in focus, instead it's the one alone the upper left hand corner. I wonder if that was on purpose?

Nice use of light on these subjects. Clarity is off a little and it's hard to tell the difference between which is death and which is life.

I think a tight crop on an individual flower would have been something I would have liked to have seen.
