Interesting challenge topics, have to admit, and I was thinking about mushrooms on a dead tree or pregnant woman by a grave (for Life & Death) - the first one would probably be a bit boring, and for the second one: I have the pregnant woman at home :) so that part won't be a problem, but the part with having a photo session with my pregnant wife on a cemetery might be a bit creepy. But then I got lucky, I found this smashed mosquito on a newspaper, and immediately went with this one for Death II. Shot it with 50 mm lens reverse mounted (hand held), that's why there is so much distortion at edges, looks like a lensbaby shot. And the text below quite fits the theme, it's in Slovenian language (the newspaper is Delo), and talks about these crisis times, which also fits the challenge topic quite well, but unfortunately most people won't understand it.

Edit: rotated and cropped a bit, auto contrast, blue cooling filter at about 10%, curves up to open the image, resized, small size usm, border, sfw.

That actually looks good. Very dramatic for a bug's death hehe
