Shot from the back of a boat while on the way out to fish on the reef. Hand held at 1/8 sec. I was tripping the shutter each time the sky got bright. I managed to get 3 strokes with about 25 exposures.
There is a big print of this hanging in the NOAA offices, in central Florida. There was also a big on line discussion about it being camera shake, or a waterspout shot. The conclusion was that it was a waterspout, because of the clarity of the power pole at the bottom of the image.
It was a wild looking storm, and fortunately, moving away from us when I got this shot.
