the shadow hides all of the detail in front... I would like it better if we could see that

Makes me want a tomato sandwich. Not too sure about the crop job. Doesn't get it for me. Still a good 5. PTL

Very nice, you burned out the background beautifully. I would like to see your setup on this as the lighting is good too. Excellent shot. DPz

one of my favorites this week. IMO needs a bit of color saturation, but very nice, tho.

Nicely photographed!

I like the way the light reflects off the bottom left water drop. Could be just me, but the tomato doesn't seem to be in focus. I realize that a tomato really doesn't have much texture, but if it weren't for the stems showing, it would seem to be just a picture of a red blob. Maybe pulling back a little from the subject would get it in better focus AND then cropping would make it better. The water drop is the cool part for me :-) 6

Ordinarily, pics like this don't do any thing for me, but this is awesome. I like the simple composition, framing and colors. Great work. karmat

Good shot, might work even better if the focus was crisper on the reflective water drop and not the stem. Good color and composition.

Is this an organic tomato?
11/11/2002 05:04:00 AM
The addition of the drops of water to this shot would've made me move the light source to maximize the effect of the drops. The shot is taken well, framed well, just the light source in a better spot would've helped the emphasis on the drops as well as yielded a much richer color on the tomater - Inspzil

Great shot! The title could say "polar bear" for all I know...but who cares. lol. The color of this is so rich, and the water droplets are the perfect touch. Love the focus on the stem. The lighting is nice, and the background couldn't be less distracting. Perfect for the shot. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~
