I went back home earlier this week to visit my Mom and took along my camera just in case. I took this photo Wednesday afternoon. I couldn't believe all the wires. It looks like a maze now. New neighbors have moved in through the years and now well, it just looks so bad.
This is the McCaysville, Methodist Church in McCaysville, Georgia. This is my home town Church and sits across the street (and I also remember when the street was a dirt road) from my Mom who still lives there.
Everything changes, but it still makes me sad to look at this.
Interesting story to accompany the image! That is a maze of wires and although we like progress, it does have its drawbacks. You dramatized this very well.
You see this all over the place now. With people demanding high speed internet, cable tv, multiple phone lines, etc, etc the cables just get thrown up one after the other to accommodate.
It would be great if they put them all under ground, but then we would complain about the constant road works :)
