A US Army Golden Knights parachutist approaches the landing zone at the Canadian Sunset Ceremony at the RCMP Stables and Canadian Police College in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
The display was very impressive, but it was amusing to hear the American MC make repeated references to "YOUR American Army," but I suppose force of habit is hard to break and that the vast majority of the Golden Knights appearances are in the USA. He also made reference to the "Royal Canadian Mountain Police," and mispronounced "Regina," to the amusement of all us Canadians in the audience.
While I wasn't shooting specifically for this challenge at the time, after reviewing my shots from the event, this stood out as a possible for post-processing into a high-contrast black and white image.
As always, I'm not sure how the image will perform. It does hold its own as a 120px thumbnail, but I don't know whether it has enough of the "WOW" factor people seem to be looking for on this site.
I'll predict a final score of 5.37 +/- 0.30, nineteen times out of twenty.
