 This swan lost its mate a few weeks ago. Its caretaker tells me its been quite upset. I was told swans mate for life. I liked how it was gesturing toward the late day sun.

Nice timing, good detail. My favourite part of the photo though? Those golden ripples in the upper right.

I was trying the other day to photography these buggers...not an easy job...constituntley moving and they just don't understand the words "hold still" I really like the ripples to the upper right
