 I love dragonflies! I can sit and watch them for hours. This was taken at a local gravel pit on a sunny day when the dragonflies were at their most active. It was a waiting game to get one to land nearby. I tried shooting with both the Sigma 105mm Macro and the Sigma 50-500mm. This was my favourite of the session with the 50-500mm taken at 280mm. You are always balancing magnification with minimum focusing distance with this lens, but using the monopod can give some good results
