I thought this was worth more. I wonder if you could have tried bounced flash? - or at least a flash diffuser. Other popular ways to enhance an image in post processing are to add a vignette, do some dodging and burning or maybe try tone-mapping. Regards...

| this is well done...one thing...personally I do not like flash shots...they leave shadows that do not compliment any shot...and they blast out parts of the picture unnecessarily...but given that...I really like the capture you have gotten...this is a hard one to get...momma feeding her babies |
