This is a shot of my (slightly rusted - the light makes it look worse that it really is) screwdriver socket set, kindly provided by DynDNS.org. This was placed upon an upturned baking tray (cookie tray, whatever), and was lit from the side by a single desklamp.

The original shot was rotated, cropped, focus tweaked, levels adjusted (lowered midtone and shadows), and focus tweaked again.

Clear, sharp and to the point. Good background choice for the color of the bits. Good Techs. Lacks "wow" but good quality photography. A solid 8. PTL

For some reason, I really like the colors in this shot. I also like how the different elements draw the eyes upward and to the right. Great shot. karmat

Nice composition. The light source is a tad harsh IMO. Good luck in the challenge. Jacko.

Good shot mon ami. The pieces look very big. The focus is super as is the lighting. Got a little dust in your foreground? looks like dandruff or something. I have no problem giving this a 4. Just kidding! Bon Chance - Inspzil

I like your idea, but the light is really strong. Did you try to use a defuser? You can get it at your local hardware store. Vote 6 Sonifo
