 This cannon was fun to watch. When it saw action it would have shot a projectile that was about 3.5 lbs in weight.

The timing is spot on in this shot. It's hard to time your shots to get the fire like this with these old cannons because the action does not always happen right when they touch the fire to the touch hole. With the melon musket, I can time the shots by watching the trigger rope, and shoot just as it comes tight.
