Every year our my town celebrates the Summer Solstice with a parade and party afterward in Alameda Park.

The above shot is in the aftermath of the parade. This float broke down one block from the end of the parade and was pulled to the side. The people in costume are trying to figure out how to move it.

State Street had been opened again for traffic and this sort-of oldie but goodie cruised past.

I kinda liked the Wigs and Toupees store in the background.

When I first saw the thumb I thought it might be a Chevelle. I had a '69 in my youth. There's quite a lot going on there. The blur with the car is great. The Octopus is funny as heck and the colors here are just great. You can never have too much color as far as I'm concerned! I don't think I would have ever looked at the signs in the background if you hadn't mentioned it.

Hey, easy now... haha. That's because us "old guys" were around when gas was cheap and we cruised the boulevard in our youth...
Car guys correct me if I'm wrong, I think thats an early 70's Dodge Charger...an R/T model...worth $$$ to us old guys. (I was a Chevy guy myself). Nice shot of the classic.

edit for spelling
