We keep passing unseen through little moments of other people's lives. --Robert M. Pirsig

Wow, thank you for the votes & the comments. I thought this would finish dead last for sure. I like white-on-white & this is a paper napkin from Starbucks posed on white paper. I thought the harsh shadows added some weight & texture, & the grey stripe on the R added some contrast. I didn't expect anyone would just look at it, without any attempt to figure out what it was a picture of, so WOW I was surprised. Thanks!

In spite of still not having figured out exactly what objects (in our oppressively objective world), even with hints!, I am drawn to this. Title and full quote and Don's lines are bonuses, but primarily my experience seems to be exactly in line with zeuszen's desiderata.

I don't know if I am surprised this did as well as it did in this venue, or terribly disappointed that this didn't come even close to the front page.

(Tickled you did this with the little Panny and on your tabletop studio. Fine art is just there at our least fingertips if we let ourselves loosen our grasp).

Interesting. I don't know what it is, but I do know that you have gotten me to sit and stare at the picture to try and understand. I like how you lead the viewer into the colored edge.

I've come back to this one a couple of times, but I can't get past that it looks like a torn piece of paper with a light shining on it. I'm sorry if there is something there that I'm not seeing. I really love the composition, though.

Interesting. I like the angles and the composition, but the lighting strikes me as very harsh.
