This is pretty heavily processed, brought back from a dingy shot when the students did a little dance thing (and the lighting crew dropped the lights to very low for a few seconds). Side lights were in multi-colors, making this just plain garish and unpleasant in color. I'm not all that good at B&W shots, so I'm hoping I didn't overdo things on her face. About 30% of the lighting in that shot is completely PS'd. I used a handful of 'soft light' layers to bring out the curve in the girl and the shot just came alive.
I left the dim object in the bottom left corner because it helps balance the shot a bit.
