I'll trying to go beyond sometimes, based on photo media, but a bit more creative. I do'nt know if this has some "artistic" value, but i like the result.Should score low, but if iI get some comments from my favorite photographers, I'll be happy.

Good idea, but the unfortunate highlight on the big tree makes it look like two (and therefore 4 in your shot). The harsh light keeps the subjects from standing out.
The lighting effect on the trees is very interesting, but I find the left one a bit too massive, and taking my attention away from the other two which have a much more interesting texture.
this looks too much like four to me.. maybe would have been better from a reverse angle, with the two small trees in the foreground. love the lihgting on this one, very moody
