 This seems to be my year for finding magnolia blossoms in good condition at eye level. I finally got around to trying this lens out & it turned out to be a new experience for me as I've used fixed-lens cameras all my life. A tripod would be a good idea with this lens I think, but this was shot hand-held from about 10-ft. It got quite heavy by the end of my walk--another reason for a tripod.

I know what you mean about trying to find a "good" magnolia blossom at eye level...I took one last month...this is really pretty...

Beautiful find - I love how the (I'm not sure what they are called) are pooled in the petals. Very nice!
