Actually this is true, it's their 150th birthday this year and they are celebrating all year. This is my favorite place to take pictures (for those that don't know me). And I had a really hard time choosing one out the ones I edited. LOL!

For those of you who didn't like the editing, there was barely any done. There is no sharpening at all. What was used was a layer of topaz spicify which darkened and made more vibrant the coloring. The wrinkles are all his and quite apparent in real life after they get wet and then cover themselves in dirt.

I thought there was some topaz in this - and I loved it! The detail on the skin was excellent. I thought it was cool that the elephant was looking at you :)

The processing on this one lost me. I'm not a fan of this look in photos, the skin of elephants is textured enough to be interesting without pushing it into looking like a coloured in ink drawing.

seems a little over processed but over all very good

This looks way over-sharpened, but as wrinkled as elephants get maybe it is fairly realistic since I don't see the sharpening halos. It's nicely composed and edited.

Hmmm. Surprised I haven't seen this edit more often. Maybe it's going out of style. Anyway, looks good with this subject and nicely done.

Nicely captured and good promotional poster. Find the processing a bit harsh.

Great detail on this lovely pachyderm! And the text goes very well with the activity pictured. I like how he's posing for you, too!
