A friend lend me a "take that lens aways from my body" artifact, so every little insect I find is scrutined down to the cell level.

This spider was alive, so framing -at minimum zoom- and pointing the SB-600 strobe as a external unit was... tricky.

Almost no proccess: curves, a cloned layer with multiply to darken a little, usm and save for the web.

I think that one good thumbrule is, do not cut the legs of your subject :) It is a nice macro but I would rather see all of the spider.

That's a good picture of a spider. I like your idea. It would probably take someone a while to understand the message without the title though

I completely agree with your title. I don't understand how the photo connects with the title. Don't get me wrong I like the dof and the arachnid is quite interesting to look at. I wish the whole spider was in the frame.
