I got home from rehearsal and noticed there was some pretty serious lightning going outside. It wasn't raining where I was but I could see the storm and lightning off in the distance and thought it would be as good of a time as ever to get some lightning photography in. I have only tried capturing lightning once before and failed miserably! This was LITERALLY the first shutter click after I set up my tripod. I was thrilled. It started drizzling not long after so I went inside.

The amount of sensor dust the original of this revealed was sickening. f16 shows nothing and f/22 was a NIGHTMARE. it is almost COATED in sensor dust. Last month I got a blower and used it to get most of the dust off and I thought it did a good job until I saw this photo...BAH

I like this series of shots. The "landscape" is possibly the most important reason for my staying in this country. I like the width, the mountains, the weatherscapes... Hope you enjoy.
