I really liked this shot--I was so sure that this was my competition. I couldn't believe it was 12th! I think it was very underrated! Well done!

PostLuminous Award WINNER!

The thin-ness of that shadow adds such a great surreal edge to this image--slightly comical, slightly sinister, almost skeletal. Superb!

I too thought of Kierkegaard. The photograph is wonderful and moving. I would have scored it higher without the title which gives clues to your message. My interpretation is one of judgment, generalization, and stereotype, whether intended or not. But that's art, open to interpretation and the personal journey through the piece. I had the same experience with the image that finished one space behind your entry. Such irony in a Jew finishing above the fellow in 13th place.

I was enjoying this photograph, but found cutout's and skewsme's comments distracting. I hope that's relevant. Anyway it makes me think of Kierkegaard or the movies of Ingmar Bergman from whom in whom there is no escape.

Interesting, though I am not sure what the message is. I'm dense that way.
