 Almost titled trois clichés: roses, selective desaturation, soft focus.

Two speedlights - one on background shot through a plant - the Strobist's favorite cookie, another bounced off a sheet of paper.

I like the composition. The slightly wrinkled background detracts a bit for me, and again for my tastes, maybe just a hint more light. Nicely done though.

Roses are a happy flower to me, bright Red and full of love, this photograph gives me a "dark" feeling, one of sadness.

lovely but i can barely see outlines of vase-sooo dark (unless it's my pc's calibration...?!)

I feel like this would have presented itself better using more negative space to one side, perhaps in landscape orientation.
