 Firemen at the scene a bit later on. Pretty dark by this time. Camera hand held, no flash. Onlookers could get closer by this stage.
This is what the roof looked like next morning.

Good newsworthy shot of a difficult moment. My brother is a news photographer and I know the local fire department always wants any photos he takes of them in action. Perhaps these guys above would like a copy of yours..
