Ha - I totally recognized this from the thumb. Lighthouse at Ponce Inlet, yes? My mom lives in Daytona and I love love love going out to the inlet when I'm there. Do you know other photographers in the area? I'll be in Daytona from August 26-Sept 5 if you want to get together and go shooting. |

And that is the fun of the side challenges, to learn a little, laugh a little, all with no stressing out! I appreciate all the comments and processing notes that all of you have left, too! |

Amazing that all this texture and detail could be brought out of that seemingly flat original. And I don't think it is too much. |

interesting. Before I read the other comments, I said "you know, this is one of those times when I like the original better..." So you've given a good example here, even if it might not be the one you hoped to give.

Yes, I think the detail setting was too intense. For this image it makes it look like it is grainy and compressed. I find I am staying away from the detail sliders, or using them to reduce detail instead, to help with skin smoothing. I am getting the results I like mostly using the adaptive exposure tab. |

Hmm. I do like the super smooth look of the original, plus the more vibrant blue of the sky. The detail is cool, though. |
