Which is really what Tycho was doing here. Tycho is one of my two indoor only cats that I've had for eleven years. I was happy with her and her sister Bootes for all that time, then when I moved to rural Polvadera three years ago I lost my mind and decided I should save all the neighborhood stray cats...:-)
Anyway, the drops are not really an overlay, just a very dirty window with the sunlight illuminating the dirt, and Color Efex Pro tonal contrast filter to make the dirt look dirtier.
Wonderful work! This would look gorgeous printed. She's such a beautifully dignified looking cat.
ETA You are an inspiration Colleen. If there were more people saving the neighbourhood strays like you there wouldn't be so many unloved abandoned cats.
Those green eyes and the rest being BW - killer. Such a striking fellow. Maybe she is like a character in "CATS." :~) Your work is so artful and thought out. I DIG IT.
