Photograph Information Photographer's Comments
Challenge: Darkness II (Advanced Editing VII*)
Collection: 2009
Camera: Canon EOS-350D Rebel XT
Lens: Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro
Location: Munich
Date: May 3, 2009
Aperture: 4
ISO: 800
Shutter: 1/60
Galleries: Portraiture, Nude
Date Uploaded: May 5, 2009

Taken during an artistic nude workshop at Munich's Volkshochschule (adult education center).

Rotate, convert to bw, sharpen, curves, dodge/burn the right arm (which I still find somewhat distracting), resize (not necessarily in that order).

Good use of lighting. The vanishing fore arm detracts a little from the shot for me but otherwise a well executed capture.

A very diffeent look at the genre of Victorian silhouettes, this image is technically perfect. The technique used is stunning, although the upraised arm should be a little sharper with more detail or eliminated entirely to make the image perfet. The offset is perfect for blending into the background. Very effective from both a technical and artistic standpoint. Should place very high if not a ribbon winner. Well done.

Artistic rendition. Could have been really neat, but the graininess is distracting. Unsure whether it was intentional or not, but I fell it ruins what should have been the smoothness of her skin.
