 Don't tell anyone, but I'm very fond of white flowers. There's something special about a peony. I got lucky & found this perfect white peony while walking thru the botanical garden. It's been raining since I took this shot, haven't got any more chances since then. All comments welcome.

[eta] Thanks for your comments. I can see, on this monitor at work, that I need to work on the contrast of the little group of water drops on the upper petal. There's a little photo competition at the botanical garden, I'm thinking I will enter this as on of my 3.

I really love the fragrance of peonies. Seems to me everytime they come in bloom the rain starts and knocks them down.. I have sm fences around them to hold them up..
U nailed this one.. The center is fabulous and white is an outstanding color but i never can photograph that color well..
U did this justice!!

Wow, this is SOOOO BEAUTIFUL! I love the detail, and the simple composition. I also really like the "pose" of the flower, kinda not just perfect all over, but a bit wavey, like she's standing in a playful way. I like this one very much.

It is just beautiful. Peonies are about my favourite flowers I think, and I agree with you that there is something special about white flowers.
