Ran this through Topaz adjust to bring up some wow, and decided I liked it desaturated to focus on the details instead of the colors. The I ran a pass of PSP's noise removal to tone down the graininess left my topaz. Added a slight blue duotone, which I feel helps to make the impression of richer black tones.

The noise in the background is a side effect of Topaz Adjust that I am still working on overcoming. It does tend to create banding in the skies that I don't care for. I actually did a heavy noise reduction pass on that background before running topaz. Selective editing seems to be the best option so far. Suggestions are welcomed.

I like it in B&W and like the detail Topaz brought out. I've found that with very rich blue skies, ANYTHING you do tends to make banding appear. Blue seems to be very hard to deal with (and rich reds, as well.) You could try doing a B&W conversion, then using USM to bring out the detail a bit and see if that makes any difference.

I like the way this coversion has emphasized the reflections under the wing.

Very nice in BW; I like the sharpening effect you applied; you did pick up a bit of noise in the BG you might want to fix.
