 Took a walk to the local lake where the ducks and geese pester visitors for bread and during the battling for the crumbs they loos feathers so it seemed like a good place to find some fluffy down.

Now the idea for using the feather for the challenge came out of a wish to avoid the obvious use of the word light as in illumination but light as in weight so Light as a Feather it.

I'm sure many people will think that this DNMC but I quite like it so hey.

Hung it up in my light tent and fired the strobes through the fabric so as to avoid harsh light destroying the fine detail.

Simple, elegant, beautiful. I love how the fluffy parts look like lightning. White lightning, as it were. :) Blue ribbon in my book. 10

Fantastic interpretation of the challenge and a technically excellent photo. I love the simplicity, the title and the perfect focus. Good luck for the remainder of the challenge, one of my favs.
