Filaree, also known as storksbill, plague of my garden and indeed of much of my four acres. HATE YOU FILAREE.

I pulled a wheelbarrow load of weeds in my garden today (and have many many more such loads remaining, unfortunately, and I'm planning to plant next weekend so GAH) and fully half of it was filaree, whose fascinating but EXTREMELY annoying spiral sticker-seeds love to poke me through my garden gloves before they go on to infest every square inch of dirt on my property with their own special brand of evil. DIE. DIE. DIE.

Great shot. It does indeed look evil. It's like a cross between a corkscrew and and an arrow - how very nasty!

What a great shot! Love the detail of the fibers sticking out of it. Nice job.

Great capture. Kind of a cross between barbed wire, a warrior's spear and a ballet dancer. The teal fabric adds to the confusion. Excellent!

I had to do a web search... I thought it was Interesting to find that this is a member of the geranium family.
