Really nice work bringing out the detail in the horse's fur/hair. The sky can be masked off and treated separately (there's some banding going on there) but I really can't offer how to do that exactly. |

Powerful looking portrait of your horse.
I've found the best way (that I have found so far) of avoiding the banding in the sky is to first do noise reduction on the sky with some other tool that handles solid areas better. I create a duplicate layer and run a heavy NR pass on it, then often add a little gaussian blur as well. erase through and merge. That smooths out the sky better and the Topaz NR then creates less halos and banding.
