 I was taking some shots of the plants in the garden to send to my mom and was using the umbrella as a diffuser since it was almost midday. It's the hottest time of the year here in Sri Lanka and there's also a heat wave around this region.

This is actually a test shot I did to check the sunlight filtered through the umbrella. After going through the shots, I thought I could use it for this challenge. I am wearing shades because my eye balls almost escaped from the sockets when I looked inside the umbrella.

The umbrella is on a light stand and I standing right in front of it.

- cropped a fair bit since the composition was not planned
- adjusted tonal contrast
- converted to monochrome
- minor burning around the top of the t-shirt
- cloned out a few pixels
- resampled and sharpened

LOL, I love it! Is this HDR, Lucisart filter, or the Draganizer action? Whatever it is, the result is awesome. Even though the highlights in the umbrella are lost, I think it actually works in this shot since you're trying to stress how incredibly bright it is. Very creative and great composition! 8 from me.
