 This is one of those times that I wish I would not have downloaded the images off the computer until the next day...

I like this shot, a pretty butterfly with some nice bright colors, but this is one I should have passed entering. I did not have the correct lens (I was shooting with my 18-200mm walk around) and could not get the face as sharp as I wanted...but I entered anyway...go figure....

And here is an outtake...

This was a bit better in focus but was still not the same without the correct lens...

Black and beautiful with a shot of color for a great effect. I'd love to capture this as you did.

A good solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it doesn't quite match the technical quality. While rich in detail and properly composed the dark nature of the subject fails to impress. A good entry into the challenge.
