Red
An adult Crimson Rosella (younger ones are mostly green) sitting in a native bottlebrush shrub (not flowering). These birds are common around here but usually don't cooperate with me when I want to get photos.
Crop,sharpenx2,brightness/contrast,flip horizontal,some burning,outer border more b/c to make it darker.

That's one thing I miss about not living in Australia anymore - the colourful birds. Magpies and cockatoos, too.

Beutiful bird, I really loved the boarder in this shot. I like that its transparently black(if that makes sense) Great positioning in the frame for both the face and the body.

Oh, my goodness! You sure do have the colorful birds in Australia! I remember seeing - for the first time - flocks of bright parrots in and around the trees around Cairnes. Never forgot it.
