 It's finally nice here in NM (meaning no more freezing at night) so we started getting flowers for the yard, this being one of the new rosebushes. Mainly I wanted to share this very cool new overlay I found by Paintingwithbrushes, it's great!! I also stumbled across a general pool over textures on flickr, very nice stuff here.

Processing:
Crop
Color Efex Pro monday morning filter
Paintingwithbrushes book cover overlay here in multiply mode, 75% opacity
Another of same overlay in overlay mode, 75% opacity
Feathered gold overlay by Pareeerica found here in overlay mode, 30% opacity
Copy all visible layers to new layer (ctrl+alt+shift+e)
Color Efex Pro cross processing L07, 35% opacity
A bit of burning on top petal edges to add definition, done by painting black on new layer in soft light mode

So sweet! It looks like a card. Fantastic overlay, love how it makes the rose look so soft and delicate (and the color, pure pastel).

I just love this so much more than a straight flower shot. Gorgeous editing and indeed, those flickr textures are amazing. We could seriously never do anything but find them and put them on our stuff, not sleep, not eat...

This is beautiful. Almost Victoriana.
