Voters are pretty definite about what they're looking for in a challenge like this, I guess. As you now know, a quickly snatched picture of an animal doesn't fit, whereas a quickly snatched picture of a person does.
Shame, really, as there's a whole load of doggy emotion (and lens licking) in this picture. We live and learn. At least you got the picture:) |

Call me traditional, but I don't consider this to be a candid, as my idea of the genre is that it should include people. |

The sense of "moment" is present in this image and the obvious character being captured carries some visual impact. Technically, it's a very well composed image which is a plus. From an artistic standpoint, it lacks impact. A worthy entry into the challenge just lacking that something special to make it stand out. |
