Since no one really noted this in comments, I wanted to point out that it looks like you are backfocusing.
The bricks about a meter behind the guys are in focus, as is the parking meter and the fender, while the face of the fellow on the left is very soft. Try shooting down a brick wall or a measuring tape to see where your focal depth is. It could be a one time thing or an issue that will mess up a lot of good shots. |

A powerful and compelling composition - a sound and dynamic image in the best tradition of photo journalism. A candid image like this should tell a story and this image certainly does that. During the first run through for rating, this viewer thought it had a minor technical flaw, but on comment review, this was a mistaken impression. Rerated to a 10, this image should place high in the competition if not a ribbon winner. An excellant photo. |
