 she was partly under a patio roof with the natural daylight to the right. unfortunately the wb was set for tungsten so the colors are real bad in spite of my attempts to correct them. also the image was a bit soft so i added a little grain to help hide this.

Great photo, I like lighting that comes from the side making just one part of her face bright, I really don't think the border was needful, square photos can be equally good too, 9

Sometimes an image is just an image - More an image of the use of lighting than a creative use of lighting. It's hard to rate this because of it's nature. It might have been a better approach to find a subject and then use the lighting to create the image rather than of the light itself.
