In a different picture ;-) Good texture. Lighting is a little too harsh and I see magenta fringing in the transition from light to shadow on the strawberry.
I like the lighting on this but maybe a little softer light would be better. Adding some diffusion to the portion that hits the strawberry for instance. Moving the light further away would change the quality of the way the rest of the light is (which works very well) so I wouldn't do that. Temporary rating of 5 for sorting purposes only. Bump to 6.
A good effort demonstrating texture in the natural world. The author's choice of lighting the subject was good, but a little more intense than necessary leading to a minor reflection onto the surface. There is also a slight slight green cast line in the foreground which can't be explained easily by viewing. The little white blooms aren't a negative, but it would have helped to use a softer light. The deep shade could have been effective if all the other factors mentioned were fixed.
