 Chinese witch hazel flowers in February, despite the snow, as does the Japanese variety. There's a North American witch hazel, but that flowers in Autumn.

I wish that tree had been standing by itself in the field, but still, that is pretty cool. Good title, I like taking pics of little plants growing up through cement and whatnot...that title would fit all.
