I had the piece of wood on a tray table in front of some bushes in my front yard in natural light. This girl is the perfect model, holding very still every time I "re pose" her for the next shot.

I would have cut it leaving out the unfocused part of the snake at the bottom of the picture as I find my eye more drawn to that than the focused head.
